Comparing the significance of Chinese New Year across the Pacific— will future generations maintain these traditions?
This image shows a transition from the year of the Tiger (2022) to the year of the Rabbit (2023). The Chinese characters represents blessing, prosperity, and longevity from top to bottom respectively.
In this drawing, a woman dressed in traditional Chinese clothing is looking down at her reflection in the water which is projected as a tiger. The reflection of a tiger symbolizes self reflection and letting go of past burdens and mistakes. The lantern and light symbolizes guidance to the future and embracing a new sense of self.
